Biography

Dr. Nader Hanna is an experienced anesthesiologist who has been practicing at Hôpital de Notre-Dame-du-Lac, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec, since 2011. With more than 40 years of medical experience, he is recognized for his clinical expertise, commitment to quality and patient safety, and leadership in the continuous improvement of medical processes.
Since 2017, Dr. Hanna has also served as a medical examiner in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, and since 2021, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. He was a member of the executive committee of his hospital’s medical board as well as its medical recruitment committee from 2012 to 2015. He has been a member of the trauma committee since 2015 to the present day.

Internationally, Dr. Hanna worked as a medical expert in the Republic of Benin from 1992 to 1998 as part of a special mission for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this period, he also provided medical, social, and psychological support to underprivileged children in Cotonou, Benin.
As a committed volunteer, he has participated for several years in humanitarian medical missions: in Haiti (Hôpital Bon Samaritain, 2017 to 2019) and more recently in Cameroon, in November 2024 and May 2025. A member of the Canadian Cancer Society since 2010, he advocates for equitable access to quality healthcare both locally and abroad.

Known for his exceptional human qualities, professional rigor, and ability to rally teams around common goals, Dr. Hanna is deeply committed to enhancing healthcare performance and ensuring patient safety.
