L’Association médicale copte d’Amérique du Nord (AMCAN)/The Coptic Medical Association of North America (CMANA) Canada is a Canadian not-for-profit organization uniting Coptic Orthodox healthcare professionals from coast to coast. We are doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, allied health professionals, and students united by faith and a calling to healing ministry.
In March 2019, a group of Canadian Coptic healthcare professionals established AMCAN/CMANA Canada. Inspired by the work of CMANA in the United States, they built a community for those who wanted to integrate faith and medicine — together.
In 2021, CMANA/AMCAN was incorporated as an official Canadian not-for-profit. In 2022, the first annual conference was held in Montreal; in 2023, the second in Toronto. Each year, the community grows in both size and impact.
Everything flows from our relationship with God. Our faith is the reason for our work, not a backdrop to it.
