Biography

Marian Habib is a registered pharmacist based in Ottawa, Canada, with extensive experience across pediatric, oncology, cystic fibrosis, internal medicine, stroke rehabilitation, and community pharmacy settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and completed her pre-pharmacy studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

She has worked in several Ontario hospitals, including the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Cornwall Community Hospital, and Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, while also practicing in community pharmacy for over a decade. Marian currently precepts pharmacy students from the University of Toronto, Memorial University, and the University of Ottawa, providing mentorship in both clinical environments.

At CHEO, Marian serves on the outpatient Cystic Fibrosis and Metabolic teams, as well as the inpatient General Pediatrics team, supporting safe and effective medication use and facilitating access to high-cost and special access therapies. She also played a key role in building the medication supply and pediatric drug reference library for the Neuro Interventional Radiology unit, including delivering staff education and authoring a pediatric-specific monograph on Eptifibatide and Tirofiban for use in the department.

In 2023, she was invited to present at CHEO’s Virtual Pediatric Update Conference, where she spoke on vitamin dosing and monitoring in deficiency.

Marian also volunteers with the Coptic Medical Association of North America and has participated in medical missions to Namibia. In 2024, she became the Logistics Team Lead, overseeing medication procurement and supporting cross-border coordination for international missions.
Fluent in English and Arabic, Marian is passionate about delivering patient-centered care and remains committed to lifelong learning and health education.
