
Sara Yassa is a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa and is certified in healthcare and leadership management. For the past 15 years, Sara has been in nursing leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams and managing departments within medical and surgical specialties.
Sara is passionate about nursing and is a strong patient advocate always working to improve the care setting and patient quality of care.
Beyond her leadership roles, Sara has been an active member of CMANA since 2017, she has participated in international medical missions in Haiti and Egypt, where she provided postoperative care and nursing education to local staff. In 2022, she joined AMCAN Canada and took part in the second mission to Cameroon, working alongside with internists in triage and offering continuing education to medical and nursing personnel.
Outside of her professional work, Sara enjoys traveling, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also actively involved in youth ministry within her church community.
