Ramy Fahmy-Demian

President
A pharmacist with a degree from the University of Montreal, class of 2004, Ramy became a co-owner of two pharmacies in the Greater Montreal area for 8 years. Upon finishing his MBA from the John Molson School of Business and selling his pharmacies, Ramy became Director of Pharmacy Operations at Loblaw Companies Limited before being promoted to a national role responsible for Pharmacy Programs and Category Management at their head offices in Greater Toronto. Ramy then became General Manager of Operations at EQ Virtual/EQ Care, a telemedicine firm, upon his return to Montreal in 2016. He then joined the Association québécoise des pharmaciens propriétaires, a professional union, as Director of Industry Relations and Professional Services, where he oversaw external affairs and special projects, including creating an innovative patient support program for specialty therapeutics. Ramy has volunteered as a judge for various case competitions at the John Molson School of Business and has served as an advisor to several start-ups in the healthcare space. Ramy has participated in CMANA missions as a pharmacist in Namibia on two occasions and in Ethiopia.

Rebecca Mossaad

Secretary
Dr. Rebecca Mossaad is a general dentist who was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She graduated from dental school in 2013 at the University of Montreal. During her 5 years at the university, she was voted twice in the top three “Students with best personal values.” She also participated in a group called Dentraide that offered volunteer work to those in need of dental care. She established a project for the homeless as well as a project for underserved populations in Montreal and was also voted as President of the organization from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, she moved to New York and Minnesota, where she trained in different hospitals to learn in-depth hospital dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2014, she received an award for “Excellency of service” at the hospital of Staten-Island. In 2016, she moved back to Montreal and had, since then, been practicing as a general dentist in a clinic in Ile-Perrot, a suburb of Montreal, and she also offers her surgical services in many different clinics. Since 2020, Dr. Mossaad has been teaching operative dentistry at the University of Montreal. From the time Dr. Mossaad graduated in 2013, she has volunteered twice in Bolivia and twice in Haiti, helping care for the dental health of patients who otherwise wouldn’t get dental care. She also participates in offering dental services in her clinic through a project called Bouche B, which is endorsed by the Foundation of Order of Dentists of Quebec. Dr. Mossaad has great interpersonal skills, a background of different cultural experiences, which is evident in her fluency in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic. Most importantly, she strives to be a better health care provider on a daily basis!

Nader Hanna

Treasurer
Dr. Nader Hanna is an anesthesiologist at Hôpital de Notre-Dame-du-Lac and a physician examiner in the Bas-St-Laurent region of Quebec. He is also a designated physician for the CNESST, Quebec’s labour board. From 2012-2015, he was executive member of his hospital’s committee of dentists, pharmacists and physicians and member of the medical recruitment committee. Dr. Hana was the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s envoy to the Republic of Benin as medical expert from 1992 to 1999. As a volunteer, he has provided social, medical, and psychological care to disadvantaged youth between the ages of 6 and 12 in Cotonou in the Republic of Benin between 1994 and 1998. He is a member of the Canadian Cancer Society since 2010 and is has been participating in annual medical missions to Haiti since 2017. He has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and has a particular talent for improving quality and security of patient care, all within the highest professional standards. He has a passion for continuous process improvement within the healthcare system.
